20 February 2017

So I am really good and I am really happy. I had the baptism! It was so awesome and then after she bore her testimony sobbing saying that she was so excited to raise kids in the future in the Gospel. Me and Elder Hart felt so good! We are so happy and excited for her. It was an awesome baptism. I will never forget it.

I am doing really good. and can't even believe that this transfer is almost over. This is the last week and I am pretty sure that I will be staying here with Elder Hart. We want to stay together longer. I hope we can stay together.

All the members keep telling me that I will finish my mission there, but I don't know, maybe haha! I would love to finish here. I am doing good and feel so good. We think we wil have 2 or 3 baptisms in March so we are working hard to get those people ready.

I hope everything is good and you are all happy and healthy. I love you all so much!

13 February 2017

Well as you all can see, my companion is a fan of BYU and I am a fan of Utah haha! .....This is war haha I am just kidding.

This week was a really good week!  We were able to find new investigators and help investigators progress. We are so excited to keep working hard here in Chimbote. I love it here, but it does smell like fish so that isn't to fun haha!

We have been trying hard to use all of our time to proselyte and find more people to teach, and at the same time, prepare for baptisms that we will have in these coming weeks. I am so excited for these coming weeks to just work hard and give it my all!.

I love it here in Peru. I am so burnt haha!! Everyone always says that I am so red it is so funny and it makes me laugh! Meanwhile my companion is not getting burnt haha!

We watched the restoration in a family home evening and really I just want to testify to you all that this Church has been restored by a Prophet of God. I Testify that this is true, the only true church of God is here again on the earth, and we need to use it and live it. I testify that this is true. I love you all!!! les quiero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

30 January 2017

Well hey there friends and family. I love you guys a lot and I hope that you are all doing really well!

So long story short Saturday morning it was 2 am. I was sleeping and then I wake up because the room was literally shaking like crazy.  Me and Elder Hart didn't know what was going on, and then finally we realized EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It didn't last long, but it was pretty strong. The next day on the news said it was a 5.6 earthquake! Holy poop! It was really crazy, the first time I have experienced an earthquake. Nothing bad happened. Everyone in my area is safe and no damage was done, but crazy!!!!! hahaha!!!!

Me and Elder hart are having a lot of fun together. We both have time in the mission so when we speak we speak English, we both realize that our English grammar is terrible. Hemos esforsado por hablar en EspaƱol. That means we have really tried to speak in Spanish. We help one another haha!!!!

We are going to have a baptism on the 15th of February!!! I am so excited! her name is Mitsuka. She is awesome and has such a strong Testimony. I love you guys so much!

Well this is a picture of a family that I said goodbye to in Trujillo. I love this family so much!

I am now in Chimbote and the weather is hot hot hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a tomato. haha   It is really fun and a lot like my first area.

My companion is Elder Hart and he's from Utah! We are getting along really well and teach each other English!

We have an investigator that is gong to baptized on February 18th. Her name is Mitsuka. She is really funny.

The food is really good here, but sometimes the air smells like fish. There are a lot  of fish factories so sometimes I am walking in the street and I want to vomit because it smells like fish haha! I love you guys so much!

This area is awesome !!!!! The members are so loving and so kind. They are really Christlike. I love these people so much and I am so thankful for this opportunity that the Lord has given me to be here. I love you all and I testify that this is the True Church of God here on the Earth!

09 January 2017

This week was awesome!  We were able to find 11 new investigators and they are all really awesome. I am so happy in my area. It is awesome!  I love it so so so much. I am so happy to be here and to learn and I just love it! Trujillo is so awesome!

This week was really good. We were able to also find a new room where we will live. It is a nice place and we hope it can be of use for the other missionaries that will live there in the future.

I have been thinking a lot about the mission. It  is so amazing! Getting to meet new people everyday in another country! it is insanely awesome! I love these people so so so much. They are so special. I love them so much. It is so amazing to think we are all brothers and sisters. God has a plan for each and every single one of us.  He loves all of his children and wants us to be happy. through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will have this peace. We will have joy and will have the opportunity to return to his presence, if we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I testify to you all in the name of Jesus Christ that this is the only church by which we can find true joy. Live it and love it. Be worthy and do it, because we will have peace through this Gospel. Remember to read the Book of Mormon everyday. It is the word of God.

I love you all. This mission has changed me, and I am so thankful for this time that I have to serve.

I love you all! Be strong and trust in God!

Love from Peru,
Elder McMillan
