OK everyone I am here! I love you all so much and I hope that everything is going great for you all!

So first things first, I don't drink soda anymore and I buy Doritos only every other day haha! My district loves to work out and really that means that they are my trainers. I can actually do one Pull up now haha! Isn't that great??? I am getting some more strength haha! We run and do work outs so that is good for me. It is helping me get skinnier and stronger!

So We have 3 investigators that need marriage, and my companion and I are going to help them get married! We are so excited to help them and hope they can get married soon so they can be baptized!

I realized that General Conference is in less than a month now and I CANT WAIT because I love general conference so much! It will be great to just hea from the Prophet and the 12 apostles and hear things that I need personally.

So we sang The Spirit of God in church and I about started sobbing! It is such a good song and it just gave me such happiness to be singing this hymn in a different language with these people that I love so much. I just love them so much and I wish the best for every single one of them.

I have almost 5 weeks now with Elder Velasquez! Time flies by so quick!

Elder McMillan and his zone at the Peru Trujillo Temple

Elder McMillan and Elder Velasquez

"DAWG"

01 March 2016

So everyone the reason why I am writing today is because we changed our p-day to today because we went to the temple!   I haven't been able to go for 5 months and I needed it so much! I testify to you all that this is the truth and that the temple is the house of the Lord.  I challenge every single one of you to go to the temple once a week or once every 2 weeks!  It was a great experience at the temple and I hope you all can go. I love the temple.

We found 3 new investigators this week and we're really happy with them. We're really happy to be working in Chao. I love Chao so much!

We tried to rescue Cesar this week but he didn't go to church this week so we are really going to try and help him a lot this week to be a saved soul!

So I am in Alma in the Book of Mormon in Spanish and am loving it. I t is so fun to be able to speak more or less another language hahaha!

I love you all and hope everything is going well. This is the true church and Jesus Christ is our savior!!!!

The elders serving in Chao Peru

Elder McMillan and his companion Elder Valasquez

22 February 2016

Oh boy I am loving the mission!

Well hey there everybody. I hope all is well and that you all have had some good days and great weeks!!

This week was really good! We were able to re activate another person in Chao. Her name is Liz. She is the mom of the Castillo family. She has a lot of faith and strength and I am so happy for her. She bore her testimony recently in Church and it was so awesome! She is great. Were helping her husband now be a saved soul!

We found 2 new investigators this week. One of them is called Deisi. She is the friend of one of our Recent Converts. She is great and has a really cute baby boy. We are really excited to continue teaching her. She seemed really interested and we hope all will go well with her and I hope we can help her find the truth and feel of Gods love.

The other new investigator we found is called Juan Carlos. He is awesome as well. He had questions about why we have the Sabbath day on Sunday and not on Saturday. I tried to talk to him about the Resurrection of our Savior and how this is one reason we have the Sabbath day on Sunday. We are going to meet with him again and help him understand more.

Lilia left for Lima. I gave the direction of the church to our Branch President so he could call the church where she wants to go. He will be able to tell the Branch President of that Branch about Lilia and that she needs to be visited by the missionaries.

I am loving this work. I know and feel that this work is ordained of God. I am loving and trying my best everyday to do what God wants! I love you all!

P.S. I am the English teacher again yeah!!!! haha

Ok - so now I am in change 4 in the field and it is great. My companions name is Elder Velasquez. He  is from America but his parents taught him Spanish this whole time so he is fluent and he is helping me learn and grow in the language and helping me improve my language.

Being a trainer was really nervous for me but I realize that all I have to do is have faith and have patience. I am learning to grow and be made better.

Lilia leaves for Lima this week. I am going to miss her  a lot. I love her so much!!!! I love her kids too. I know that she will be able to become a member where she is moving and she will have success in the Church more than ever before.

We found 2 new investigators this week and we're really excited to teach them.  One of them had some troubles believing in baptisms for the dead. We shared with him some scriptures about how the gospel is taught to the dead in the spirit world as well. His name is Miguel and all is going well.

The other is named Fernando. He is a friend of Sebastian. Were going to teach him more this week and hope that everything goes well!!!

Love  y'all

February 8, 2016

So this week was insane and now even more crazy.

We found out that Lilia has decided to go move down to Lima with her kids. She is leaving Abraham and going to restart. She is going to live there and the best part is that there is a church where she is going! We are so excited for her and hope with all of our hearts that she will be able to be baptized as soon as she can.

Lucy another one of our investigators got mad at us because we missed a meeting with her.  We were late because another investigator needed a blessing.  She told us she isn't going to believe anything now. We were really sad about it and you know we're not perfect but we should've done everything we could've. But thats ok we're gonna go talk to her today!

So it turns out that Elder Volquez is going to Chimbote to be a district leader. He is nervous but I am sure he will do great! I am nervous because I am now a trainer! it is so crazy and I can't believe it!

Tomorrow I go to Trujillo to pick up my companion and I am nervous! I feel not ready to do this but I know with faith I can. I love you all so so so so much and I hope that everything is going well!!

So after this week, change(transfer) 3 for me in the mission will be completely finished. I am so happy and so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a missionary. I love this work and I testify with all of my heart that this is the true church of God!

So this week was crazy! I taught English again, and kind of told the Latinos they need to do their work in their English books. We also learned how to bear our testimonies in Spánish which was such a neat and spiritual experience.! It is very fun to be the English teacher.

So we had a lesson with Hermana Lilia and she is planning on not staying with Abraham. He just isn't changing  and isn't helping his family progress. We fasted and then more stuff happened between her and him so we are thinking Lilia and her kids will be baptized soon! She just said to us that she needs to think about her and her kids. So it is kind of sad but we think it is for the best and all this happened right after we had a fast together as a zone.

The familia Castillo are doing really good! We're thinking that the parents will be saved souls this week so we are really excited and happy for them. I love the familia Castillo so much!

So I realized this week that Spanish is so much easier than it used to be! I understand so much more and I taught another class this Sunday so the language I think is coming great. I am so excited to learn more and more as I progress in my mission. I love you all! Have a great week!!!!
